Senior Grant Accountant


Venice Family Clinic is seeking a Sr Grants Accountant. Venice
Family Clinic is a nonprofit community health center celebrating 50 years of

The Sr Grants Accountant will report directly to the Director of
Audits & Grants Administration and join our Finance & Accounting team
who manage the accounting for the Organization's portfolio of more than $14M in
government grants and contracts.

In this role, you will be responsible for fiscal matters
related to assigned grants and contract awards in accordance with sponsoring
agency policies and regulations. You will perform accounting for grants and contracts including
private donor and government funded grants, reconcile monthly statements to
budgets, prepare financial reports, invoices and forecasts for awarding
agencies and management, assist with preparing budgets and audits. This position will work closely with the Sr.
Grants Staff Accountant and serve as back-up during absences.
  • BA / BS with a concentration in
    Accounting or Business Administration strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a
    progressively responsible accounting role
  • Healthcare experience, preferably in
    a Community Health Clinic
  • Demonstrated work
    experience managing multiple government funded programs/accounting
  • Fund or Not-for-Profit accounting
  • Advanced Excel Skills including Pivot
    Tables, VLook-Up and Logic Functions
  • Accounting Software such as Blackbaud
    Financial Edge, MIP (Abila), MAS 90, NetSuite or Oracle Accounting Software
  • Accuracy/precision in math, strong
    analytical skills, organized, team player, able to meet deadlines

  • Able to analyze and clearly communicate
