Executive Director, NGE Data Strategy & Solutions

Job Description

2021 is an exciting year for Novartis as we accelerate our growth in the digital space.

As an Executive Director of Next Generation Engagement Strategy and solutions, you will own set up of NGE platforms, processes and solutions. You will leverage existing infrastructure and processes wherever possible and bring in new solutions for the enablement of customer experience management including centralized marketing technology, customer analytics and customer engage-ment/orchestration platform, content platforms, etc. to serve as a durable, scalable competitive ad-vantage for our business. You will play a critical role to develop centralized Social and digital technology, customer analytics and customer engagement/ orchestration platforms. You will be a strategic owner of all Social and Digital Marketing tooling and infrastructure, in-house and 3rd party, and lead a team that provides architecture, implementation, and operational support.

Our vision is to transform customer facing personal engagement models by delivering the right tac-tic, most relevant content, at the right timing, to the right customer, across channels, devices, and geographies. This position reports directly to the Head, Data & Platforms

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Marketing & Social selling and orchestration platform tools that support the build of next generation personal engagement solutions

Lead execution of marketing automation and marketing analytics platform investments, in-cluding identifying opportunities, selecting solutions, integrating them into existing systems and processes, and supporting their adoption and use by cross-functional teams.

Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Marketing & Social selling and orchestration platform tools that support the build of next generation personal engagement solutions

Lead the ongoing transformation of commercial acceleration and digital transformation to build customer engagement solutions that is personalized and relevant, and act as a cham-pion of Next generation customer engagement.

Lead the platform build including identifying opportunities, selecting solutions, integrating them into legacy systems and processes, and supporting their adoption and use by cross-functional teams

Lead vendor evaluations with appropriate stakeholders to define business requirements and influence technical specifications to ensure tools and systems are developed and setup effectively for next generation customer engagement operations.

Develop strong internal relationships with all levels of management to promote the culture of automation, experimentation and data.

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or in required relevant area. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Required Experience

8+ years of experience in the marketing technology space: implementing digital data platforms/solutions, developing APIs/systems integrations, and/ or developing reporting analytical solutions.

Minimum 12+ years of experience in stakeholder management, directly leading da-ta/business teams for business impact

The ability to manage cross-functional marketing and technology teams, advocate for customer experience management, and collaborate across the organization to create integrated solutions.

Understanding of technical concepts and tools, including tracking, measurement, attribution, data infrastructure, customer data integration, analytic modeling, campaign management, and business intelligence systems.

A deep understanding of modern digital channels such as programmatic TV, Display advertising, search engine marketing, content marketing, email, and social media marketing.

Excellent structured communication skills to frame complex technical concepts to facilitate discussion and deeper levels of understanding across departments. Ability to bridge marketing, tech and data functions.

A background in leading complex large-scale projects with high touch, high pace, multi project environment.

Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balance franchise needs with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions

Experience driving product management for an enterprise platform

Experience with development and execution of tactical plans and translate strategy into tactical plans

The capability to execute rapidly and successfully in an unstructured environment
