Associate, BREDS Asset Management

Job Description:

BREDS asset management professionals will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of real estate loan asset management and be staffed on a number of assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, team members have the opportunity to assume integral roles on projects and deal teams.

Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Financial analysis and modeling
  • Management and servicing of a portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments
  • Market research, asset tours, borrower relationship management
  • Competitive analysis
  • Development of presentations and reporting for internal and external use
  • Assist in the execution of a wide range of transactions, including loan modifications, lease approvals, property releases, capital expenditure fundings, and due diligence


Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
  • Strong communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to write effectively
  • A desire to work in a team environment, often under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Good judgement
  • 2+ years of experience with a real estate asset management firm, private equity firm, lender, owner/ operator, investment bank or broker
