Job Description:

The Middle Office Operations Group is responsible for the processing, executing and reconciling for all underlying Hedge Fund investments for BAAM's 200+ entities. The group performs cash flow analysis for each BAAM entity working in coordination with the investment and legal teams to aide in the investment process. Additionally, the group assists in the oversight and management of the external custodian relationships. The team also works on special projects with others teams and plays a key role in the communication flow of information between other groups.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of trade instructions and communication for monthly trading activity
  • Execution and reconciliation of monthly trading activity to hedge fund managers and custodians
  • Daily reconciliation of cash
  • Maintaining transaction data in internal systems
  • Daily interaction and communication with custodians
  • Daily interaction with the investment, legal, compliance and client teams
  • Assisting in cash projection of 200+ portfolios
  • Preparing and reviewing cash payment instructions for daily transaction activity of investment vehicles
  • Processing and monitoring borrowing activity, interest costs and fee calculations associated with financing lines of credit
  • Analysts are expected to understand the context and execution of investment decisions, and should contribute to the ongoing process improvement

  • Strong technology skills with good knowledge in working with excel and power point
  • Ability to summarize issues and develop recommendations
