Business Description:

Blackstone Alternative Asset Management (BAAM®) manages approximately $82 billion across a diversified set of businesses, including a customized portfolio solutions business, a special situations platform, a business that purchases GP stakes in alternative asset managers, an open-ended mutual fund platform, and an emerging manager seeding business. BAAM invests across a variety of asset classes and strategies to create solutions for its investors. Job Title: Analyst

Job Description:

The ESG Analyst will be an integral member of BAAM's ESG Team, which is responsible for driving ESG initiatives across BAAM. The ESG Analyst will support the extensive work of BAAM's ESG Team and will interface with senior members of BAAM and other areas of the firm. This individual will lead efforts around ESG data, analysis, presentation, and reporting.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively to create and maintain ESG presentation materials, investor reporting, and other communications for key stakeholders
  • Responding to investor ESG due diligence questions, including coordinating responses with individuals across BAAM and the firm
  • Collecting and analyzing ESG data from across BAAM's third-party managers and engaging with BAAM's managers on ESG topics
  • Providing ESG research support to BAAM's investment teams


Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

The successful candidate should have:

  • At least 1 year of work experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, Finance, Accounting, or Audit
  • Significant interest in the ESG space; relevant work experience and/or academic degree a plus
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Robust work ethic and positive attitude
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage projects independently and to completion
  • Excellence demonstrated in prior endeavors
