Job Description

The Payment Operations ARP Specialist III insures Cash Management business customers receive monthly reconciled statements of their paid and outstanding check issues. The primary focus involves the processing of Customer issue files against paid checks and the submission of suspects to the Customer for what ultimately becomes a pay vs. return decision. The job currently has a Customer service lean consisting of daily contact with Cash Management business Customers, TD Bank stores and various internal departments.

Job Requirements

  • Provides variety of generally complex ARP support services for cash management Customers, providing ongoing Customer service related to day-to-day operation of systems and technology
  • Trains Customers on system use and capabilities
    Assists more experienced personnel with account set-ups, changes and system testing
  • Processes inbound issue files and compare against Customer provided source totals. Contacts
  • Customer with any discrepancies
  • Repairs Customer checks that have check # misreads and encoding errors prior to the 10am web platform Customer decision availability
  • Reconciles the monthly ARP full and partial reconciliation statements
  • Ensures that the DDA portion of the statement settles to the Customer's bank statement
  • Reviews daily Customer disposition reports to validate Customer pay and return decisions
  • Processes inbound issue files and compare against Customer provided source totals. Contact

  • Processes Customer requests to build manual issues or delete older checks from the Check free SMS system
  • Scrubs or repairs Customer checks prior to the 10am release of Positive Pay suspects to online platforms

  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.


  • Qualifications

    • 2 year degree or equivalent experience
    • 2-4 years related experience required
    • Proven organizational and time management skills
    • Proven attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high volume, fast paced environment
    • Proven Customer service skills including professional phone etiquette skills
    • Ability to successfully coach/train others
    • Strong PC skills, including ability to learn new systems
    • Demonstrated communication skills
    • Proven ability to show sound judgment in decision making process
    • Ability to suggest process improvements / productivity enhancements
    • Accounting back ground a plus
