Sr. LVN Supervisor - Primary & Specialty Care (Valencia)


In this position, you will be responsible for all nursing and clinical services. This requires direct nursing care, clinic administration, patient flow coordination and supervision of clinic nursing staff. Interaction with faculty, residents, patients and staff to maximize patient care and ensure patient safety. Coordination and assignment of tasks and duties of all nursing and supplemental staff based on established protocols, policies and procedures.

Administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing supervision of the nursing staff, ensuring that all applicable policies and standards are maintained at all times, planning for and adjusting staffing on a daily basis to maintain efficient and adequate operations, conducting the evaluation process, maintaining yearly staff competencies, providing all necessary training for new and existing staff and the maintenance and upkeep of the practice. You will also be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance process and reviewing staff timesheets for accuracy based on the daily schedule.

  • CA LVN License
  • Current and valid CPR certification with ability to administer CPR
  • Possess IV therapy certification
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as an LVN
  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures
  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed
  • Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers
  • Keyboard literacy skills to access and input data in computerized logging systems
  • Ability to accept direction from administration and act promptly
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, peers, physicians and administrators
  • Ability to effectively elicit salient clinical information and making appropriate assignments based on established guidelines
  • Skill in listening perceptively, conveying awareness and responding to patients and visitors with health concerns using tact and discretion
  • Skill in preforming with frequent interruptions an/or distractions including the ability to accept equivocal circumstances and responds to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference and hostility
  • Ability to push, pull or carry up to 30 lbs.

  • Working knowledge of the physician practice operations
  • Working knowledge of EMR System (EPIC) Care Connect
  • Spanish speaking skills
