The Area - Commercial Operations, eCommerce We manage a world class eCommerce service for our US based vaccines and channels group as an important channel to interact and service our customers. We are a mature product team with a global team of 30+ resources delivering rapid enhancements in an Agile delivery model. We are heavily focused on tech transformation and are moving towards a Cloud Native model for the entire stack. The Role - Solution Architect, eCommerce As Solution Architect, eCommerce you will be reporting to the Director of ECommerce DevOps and will be responsible for leading technical strategy, design and innovation for our Pharma eCommerce platform. Who/what we're looking for...? Subject Matter Expertise & Credibility: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an architect/technologist in a ECommerce Product team setting. Highly competent in managing day-to-day technical activities and establishing a design direction for a large global team. Intellectually curious: Able to learn quickly, assimilating new information and synthesizing viewpoints/hypotheses. Able to become proficient in new areas in weeks, not months. Emotional Intelligence: High EQ and empathy for both our external customers (i.e., Patients & Healthcare Professionals) and internal customers (senior stakeholders, cross-functional collaborators). These responsibilities include some of the following: Responsible for our Product Technology, working with the Director to create clear and cohesive visions for our Pharma ECommerce Platforms i.e., understand current capabilities and drive future state architecture in alignment with GSK Tech Strategy Develop and drive technology strategy and roadmap at the product level through an awareness of current environment (including internal and vendor-based products) Work very closely with your Engineering Lead counterparts, overseeing autonomous cross-functional teams, helping to define and independently develop product features to tackle business problems. Build relationships both internally & externally, collaborating closely with technologists and industry experts to stay abreast of industry trends, disruptions and best practices. Propose and evaluate industry trends and best practices and work with the other dev managers to continuously integrate them into the day-to-day progression of the dev team. Partner with product and service teams and the business to drive technical engagements, projects and architecture involving the design, development and implementation of platforms and products with scale, resiliency and maintainability. Consult and provide analytical insight on product/systems improvement and development based on scalability, performance, availability and cost and assist in providing training sessions and workshops. Collaborate with the business and partner teams on a variety of engagements involving the deployment of customer solutions and environments. Utilize customer facing skills and technical background in order to drive discussions with business and technical leaders that enable them to easily interact and give guidance to software developers and architects. Partnering with all GSK lines of business to accelerate the cloud first approach and reduce cost of technology offerings while maintaining security standards. The role may participate with teams on the management and remediation of audit or compliance findings per GSK standards (Sarbox, WADs, Security, GxP, etc) and execution of routine testing of agreed IT Continuity Plans. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BS or equivalent degree in science, engineering, Computer or Information Science or equivalent experience 12 years of overall IT experience primarily in hands on experience with designing, developing and delivering web-based systems At least 7 years of experience in developing and leading large enterprise grade ECommerce platforms At least 5 years of experience as an Architect/Lead for large enterprise grade ECommerce Platforms 3 years' experience with Agile delivery methodologies and implementing automated DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery operating model 3 years of B2B experience with a solid track record and accomplishments in innovative design leadership of ECommerce Platforms 3 years of Experience with Product ownership and Application support and development models 3 years of hands on Experience in designing and delivering Cloud Native ECommerce platforms Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Pharmaceutical B2B Commercial Model SAP Hybris experience Pharmaceutical Commercial sales model experience Utilization of data and analytics, usability analysis, VOC assessments, mobile application experiences, etc. to drive improvements and innovation Strong knowledge of Integrations with various marketing technologies Why GSK?
