The Global Technology COO organization within Prudential, accountable for advancing Global Technology’s strategic priorities and enhancing operational processes for the GT organization and its business partners, is seeking a new team member for the Architecture Governance Function.

As part of Global Technology’s IT Architecture Governance, this position is responsible for overseeing end-to-end processes to evolve the IT Product Catalog for the Prudential Enterprise. This includes evaluating the current state of IT catalogs across Prudential, developing a going forward strategy, selecting technology and partnering with CTO, CDO, ISO, Vendor Management and Architecture to create a process to populate and maintain the catalog so it can provide value to the Enterprise. This position is also responsible for spearheading a pattern library for Prudential. For both the catalog and patterns this position is responsible for making the information useful, easily accessed and easily understood for the purpose of empowering NWOW teams with IT product and pattern information they can use to streamline agile development. This position will be required to gain consensus on approach where necessary as well as to present to numerous technical audiences.

The Architecture Governance function is accountable for Architecture Governance via the Enterprise Architecture Review Board, Technology Standards and Exceptions, Pattern Definition and Governance and IT Product Catalog Definition and Governance. We are looking for a unique combination of skills/experiences: enterprise architecture, project management, technical expertise in SharePoint, influencing skills, strong business acumen, superior communication skills, ability to work across organizational boundaries and experience with Agile methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Envision/ideate, co-create, and govern a new, centralized Architecture Pattern Library for Prudential in partnership with the Chief Architect Team. This includes selecting technology for the library, creating, modifying, and retiring Architecture Patterns for Prudential
  • This position will define what patterns are, how they are defined, where they are stored, how they are evolved and governed together with the Chief Architect Team
  • Evolve the culture across GT to use defined patterns wherever possible.
  • Evolve the IT Product Catalog for Prudential.
  • Evaluate the current state of IT catalogs across Prudential, developing a going forward strategy, selecting technology and partnering with CTO, CDO, ISO, Vendor Management and Architecture to create a process to populate and maintain the catalog so it can provide value to the Enterprise.

  • Proven relationship building and collaboration skills; ability to influence and drive outcomes in large, matrixed and complex organizations
  • Consultative nature, with a proven track record of using data to provide actionable business results
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities and complex projects
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Consensus building
