Integration Platform Administrator - Software AG webMethods platform


Job Description
BAE Systems, Inc. is searching for an Integration Platform Administrator with system integration and Software AG webMethods skills for our growing Enterprise Integration Services team located in Charlotte, NC (Ballantyne area). This position will support an area of strategic growth within our IT organization and offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of highly-skilled integration professionals, while collaborating with multiple architecture and infrastructure support functions to support all lines of business across the company.

As an Integration Platform Administrator, your goals will include ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our integration solutions, as well as support for various business-critical projects/programs, and your j ob responsibilities will include:
  • Installation and upgrades of all integration tools (currently consisting of webMethods Broker, Integration Server, Trading Networks, MWS, Process Engine and JDBC Adapter)
  • Maintaining the configuration of all integration tools to ensure optimal functionality, security, performance and scalability (incl. documentation)
  • Monitoring system availability and performance
  • User access provisioning and de-provisioning
  • Deployment of integration solutions through development, test and production environments
  • Setup of secure connectivity and authentication with both internal and external (Cloud/SaaS) systems
  • Debugging of integration solutions to determine root cause of issues
  • Support of integrated application maintenance activities
  • Coordination with infrastructure, security and partner application teams
  • Identification and communication of risks/issues to Line and Project Managers in a timely manner


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited educational institution
  • Must have at least 8 years of experience working with software (installation, configuration management, development, etc.)
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in system/application integration
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience administering the Software AG webMethods platform (version 9 or later)
  • Must be familiar with both Linux and Windows operating systems


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • At least 10 years of experience working with software (installation, configuration management, development, etc.)
  • At least 8 years of experience in system/application integration
  • At least 5 years of experience administering the Software AG webMethods platform (version 9 or later)
  • Familiar with both Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows operating systems, including scripting in shell languages
