Company Background:

ONE Brands, formerly OhYeah! Nutrition, was founded in 1999 by Ron McAfee, a pioneer and leader in the protein category. Historically, OhYeah focused on the nutrition space, offering protein shakes, powders and supplements. In late 2015, OhYeah launched their newest innovation - the ONE Bar. In just 12 months, ONE Bar exploded onto the marketplace, amassing a huge following despite limited distribution. The launch of the ONE Birthday Cake Bar sealed the deal on ONE's position as a leading better-for-you indulgent protein snack, touting superior taste and texture.

Since then, OhYeah rebranded to ONE Brands, continued to innovate into new flavors and continued to increase awareness, distribution and household penetration nationally. In October 2019, ONE Brands was acquired by the Hershey Company and yet maintains offices in Charlotte, NC and Boulder, CO. In 2020, ONE Brands was given a new bar brand to manage under Hershey's better-for-you snacking portfolio, FULFIL. FULFIL was started in Dublin, Ireland and has grown exponentially in the UK Market.

About the Job:

The Associate Brand Manager position is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the marketing team of a fast-growing snack bar brand in Boulder. This position is responsible for supporting brand marketing activities and managing multiple marketing programs. You'll be the expert on key marketing initiatives, lead cross-functional teams and be a valued member of a small team where you get to work across all components of brand marketing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior project management skills in all facets of the marketing mix in order to help support ONE's continued sales growth goals. S/he will also bring passion and a can-do attitude to our marketing team and will report directly to the Brand Manager for ONE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing a variety of marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, trial and distribution.
  • Assist in the development of annual, long and short-term marketing strategy and plans.
  • Assist in the management of the entire product portfolio, assisting in innovation, product optimization, creative and data analysis to maximize the portfolio in market
  • Be the lead on all customer marketing/ shopper marketing initiatives with the goal of collaborating and supporting the sales team to provide best-in-class retailer specific merchandising and marketing activations to drive trial, awareness and velocity within the retailer environment
  • Manage the customer marketing budget, as well as other elements of the entire marketing budget, through accurate tracking and forecasting of marketing spend
  • Oversee coupon programs, tracking redemption, analysis and reporting.
  • Initiate rigorous performance analyses and reporting to optimize programs rolling up to larger business and marketing objectives
  • Actively gather, analyze and present brand, competitor and health & wellness food category insights, trends and data. Specifically utilize SPINS/IRI data to create sales stories, as well as develop marketing and product strategies.
  • Actively manage research initiatives including, custom on-demand research, tracking studies, brand research and more.
  • Ensure ONE brand standards have consistency and proper usage of brand elements and key messaging for all materials. Provide brand review for all marketing content and ensure it is in line with overall brand positioning and voice.
  • Oversee coordination of external agency partners on the development, design and production of creative assets.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of national trade and consumer shows.
  • Assist digital innovation efforts to optimize targeting, awareness and acquisition.
  • Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment by understanding and complying with the Company's policies, by demonstrating the Company's values, and being a role model for the Company Brand.

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS/BA Degree (Business/Marketing preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing (consumer packaged goods marketing preferred)
  • Experience with both traditional and innovative communications and marketing techniques, including customer-specific/shopper marketing programs.
  • Strategy and integrated marketing communications strength a plus.
  • Emerging and fast-growth brand experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of project management principles; discipline of planning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to achieve specific goals
  • S/he will have a collaborative approach with great customer service, both, internal and external, such as interfacing with cross-functional teams and external partners.
