Summary:
The Shopper Insights Manager will develop and deliver best in class shopper insights for their assigned retail customer, Walmart. This position will function as the shopper insights partner for the Walmart category advisor team.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify learning needs and develop a yearly insights plan for Walmart that aligns with category advisor & customer goals
  • Deploy insights plan through managing research projects from start to finish; outline objectives, identify information sources, determine methodology and research suppliers, manage research suppliers, analyze results, and deliver unbiased action-oriented recommendations and solutions
  • Support the Walmart category advisor team with key insights to inform customer strategy meetings, seasonal deep dives and planogram resets
  • Proactively identify key business opportunities or issues specific to Walmart and provide insights and recommendations as needed through previous research, panel data, or commission new research
  • Interact on a regular basis with key members of the insights and merchant team at Walmart
  • Continuously expand knowledge of new insights methods and storytelling approaches through training and peer mentoring


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, advanced degrees preferred but not necessary
  • 4-8 years of Consumer, Shopper Insights and/or Category Management Experience [TA1]
  • Ability to build dynamic relationships with Key Decision Makers and comfortable interacting with decision makers at both junior and senior levels of the organization.
  • Preferred prior knowledge or work experience with qualitative (including focus groups, 1-1s, ethnographies, etc.) and quantitative (mobile device, web/online, telephone, etc.) research methods, panel data such as Numerator, Nielsen, IRI or retail loyalty data.
  • 25% - 35% travel required
