R&D Lab Systems Product Manager

The New role is required for the management, support and execution of the Value Chain & Integration Tech strategy for R&D Laboratory data platforms & systems in CH. A sample of platforms include the Electronic Laboratory Notebook, LIMS platforms and site applications across the global CH R&D sites with remit into SC as well as additional possible scope and collaboration. This role will be part of the new CH Tech organization The R&D Labs Product Manager will assess business needs, configure, upgrade and strategize on future road maps for R&D lab data platforms to improve operational efficiency. The position will interpret business needs and opportunities, create and maintain procedures and manage application lifecycle of the system. These responsibilities include some of the following: Accountable for contributing in the strategy, development and execution of a 3-year product roadmap for products/Applications within the product team in alignment with the R&D strategy and R&D stakeholders. The product roadmaps will be built with a clear focus on value delivery to the R&D strategy and will prioritize investments based on value. End-to-end accountability for products within the product group includes full lifecycle management. Strong business and financial acumen able to apply forecasting and finance principles within your remit and across business functions with interdependencies Product management: Accountable for managing the product backlog and prioritizing all Tech services within their respective product domain, ensuring continuous feedback from business customers and end users. Partner with central Tech platform teams to re-use platform tools within R&D as much as possible. Governance: Establish and lead Business Governance bodies, provide oversight and establish business value, manage overall delivery and service performance and manage business risk Business Process: Design the optimal set of products and services that meets the business strategy and requirements. Quality, Risk & Compliance: Accountable for ensuring all products supporting the business are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements, and that R&D continuity plans are in place for all business-critical products. Service Management: Accountable for ensuring the right services levels are in place and maintained in line with business need and the appropriate responses made to Voice of the Customer (VOC). Process Improvement: Accountable for driving ongoing product and business process improvements, embedding agile, automation, DevOps and a strong user experience culture Change & Release management: Manage change activity, including Software-as-a-Service delivered change, into the production service in a compliant and efficient manner. Integrations: In collaboration with Solution Architecture, ensure that data integrations are efficient, accurate and secure. This also includes building reporting capabilities that support both operational reporting as well as analytic reporting. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelors degree in Computer Science 5 years' experience in labs and R&D operations roles with information technology and healthcare experience. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Depth of Experience with Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, Laboratory Information Management Systems, Chromatography Data Acquisition Systems, benchtops and global application deployment and support Experience in innovation delivery and deployment methodologies Experience working with a global Consumer organization and understanding their needs Advanced knowledge of agile, quality and risk management processes, principles and tools Partnering on problem-solving discussions between key stakeholders Ability to nurture and maintaining collaborative working relationships Lead and influence people in a matrix business environment globally Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills Ability to adapt and work under uncertainty and accommodate flexible work demands Global perspective; cultural sensitivity Ability to navigate under pressure; resilient; self-motivated; sense of urgency and solid decision making Able to converse in English (spoken and written) Smart experienced risk-taking mindset Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively and directly with stakeholders, using the most appropriate communication channels and adapting information and style to the audience Why GSK?
