Associate Product Manager

Abbott Neuromodulation currently has an opportunity for an Associate Product Manager within our rapidly growing business. The Neuromodulation Division includes implantable devices helping people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. Our solutions include the Proclaim™ XR SCS System, the #1 Spinal cord stimulator on the market, Proclaim™ DRG Neurostimulator, the only FDA approved DRG therapy, NeuroSphere™ Virtual Clinic, a first-of-its-kind technology that allows patients to communicate and receive new treatment settings remotely in real-time. Additionally, Abbott is a market leader in radiofrequency ablation therapy with the newest RFA generator on the market, IonicRF™ Generator, a comprehensive portfolio of disposables, and the proprietary Simplicity™ Probe for SI denervation.

Our team in Austin, Texas is looking for a strong leader to launch our next generation of solutions for Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies. This is a highly visible position that will help grow the long-term sales, profit, and market share position for the chronic pain product portfolio. The incumbent in this position will be regarded as a deep technical expert related to assigned product(s)/product lines with broad knowledge of related fields.

  • Manage downstream product marketing for the U.S., Canada, and Latin America markets
  • Lead new product launches working with cross-functional teams in developing product launch plan and key milestones
  • Create and align on the go-to-market strategy with commercial organization, including key performance indicators, segmentation, and account/customer targeting
  • Identify product positioning and messaging that reflect the product's value proposition with marketing communication team
  • Work closely with U.S. commercial team to ensure sales and marketing alignment and sales execution to marketing plans
  • Develop KOL strategy and physician champions for the product
  • Develop podium and publication plan with clinical team
  • Forecast launch demand to ensure adequate product supply
  • Monitor competitor's activities and strategy and execute on competitive marketing strategy

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree (such as a Master's degree or MBA) is preferred
  • Experience working in the medical device industry
  • High level of business acumen and comfort with financial modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work within a team as an individual contributor in a fast paced, changing environment
