More About the Role:
Leidos is seeking a Tools and Data Specialist to support related efforts for SMIT, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. The successful candidate will support planning, designing, and evaluating various tools and data support for the NMCI network.

What You'll Get to Do:
•Participate in the planning of tool upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance.
•Provide input into engineering solutions that provide secure, effective and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for tools and data.
•Participate in new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement projects related to tools and data for the NMCI network.
•Participate in the analysis, review, and validation with customers, stakeholders, and team members for NMCI projects and changes related to tools and data.
•Participate in collaboration and coordination with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
•Comply with ITSM processes and procedures.
•Comply with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and use MBSE tools.
•Comply with Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239.
•Collaborate with technical experts to synthesize solutions related to tools and data.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
-Requires B.S. Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to qualify for a Secret clearance to start the program.
•Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks.
•Motivated self-starter with ability to lead and work in a matrix organization and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and program leadership.
•Strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.
•Technical knowledge and skills with one or more tools.
•Experience working in information technology enterprise environments.
•Travel may be required.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs.
•Experience developing SE artifacts in multiple systems development paradigms and methodologies.
