Separate Accounts Reporting Consultant

Department:

The Retirement & Income Solutions ("RIS") business is part of MetLife's U.S. Business. RIS delivers business-to-business retirement and benefit funding solutions in specialized financial and insurance markets.

RIS is a leading provider of stable value products, structured settlements, annuities for employer sponsored plans and life insurance funding products (corporate-owned/bank-owned life insurance). As part of the RIS Life Products organization, this role works closely with the pricing/actuarial team, sales, client services and legal teams to provide separate account reporting to new and existing customers.

Role Value Proposition:

This role is primarily responsible for the management and distribution of separate account reporting for the various investment options available within RIS' corporate-owned and bank-owned life insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consults with client servicing team to understand client separate account reporting needs.
  • Tracks separate account reporting deliverables and ensures reporting is delivered timely and accurately.
  • Manages a reporting infrastructure that supports regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Acts as liaison with investment managers & subadvisors for separate account reporting.
  • Posts separate account-related materials and updates content to the website.
  • Facilitates quarterly investment manager webinars.
  • Tracks monthly guideline compliance and quarterly 817(h) diversification compliance
  • Monitors group mailbox for separate account reporting.
  • Assists with separate account related inquiries.
  • Develops detailed process plans, metrics and status reports.
  • Works collaboratively to streamline processes and controls.
  • Assists with project work.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:
  • 1-3+ years experience in investments, life insurance, financial services, or other related field
  • Detail-oriented, organized, hands on, results driven personality with an excellent work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulae, etc...)


Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; Advanced degree a plus
  • Exposure to and understanding of investments space in a professional or personal context
  • Appetite and ability to secure Series 6 license (with team support) after acclimating to role
  • Self-motivated to proactively learn about the business and develop relevant skills/knowledge base
