Associate Director, Global Security

Job Description

  • Collaborate on the development of physical security strategy, demand planning, prioritization, and standards as well as executing of same. Additionally, is available for deployment of new services and operational support to the North America and Latin America Regions.
  • Define, author and/or inspect physical security man-guarding operations, technology standards, policies, required upgrades, maintenance and day to-day management of all physical security through outside partners/contractors, system integrators or internal resources.
  • Design and implement integrated facility security systems and global service requirements for the company.
  • Direct external relationships to ensure the viability of all physical security systems, legacy and new, with the goals of maximizing investment through life cycle management and minimal business disruption as the result of failed or improperly configured systems.
  • Provide system solutions to specific security concerns identified through internal customer requests and security inspections.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes to ensure our company's Global Security Standards are maintained and modified.
  • Develop and administer processes for physical security vulnerability assessments and inspections for various guard operations and security systems (e.g. barriers, access control, guest management, video surveillance, intrusion detection, duress, emergency notification.)
  • Provide product research, feasibility studies, project planning, tracking and quality assurance and overall vendor communication and management.
  • Leverage internal and external benchmarking to identify leading industry practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Direct and Guide the Regional System Command Center (North America / Latin America) in day-to-day operations which include monitoring & responding to Security System alarms/alerts and ensuring the security system health for all the company's sites in North America and Latin America.
  • Develop and deploy reports and tools to audit Access Control, Guest Management and Video Surveillance Systems user permissions and report compliance/noncompliance to Global Security management.
  • Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions based on authorized requests for entry to Access Control, Guest Management and Video Surveillance Systems.
  • Provide ongoing internal user training and technical support concerning Access Control, Guest Management and Video Surveillance Systems. Develop and deliver periodic internal webinars for user community.

Education Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree is required

Required Minimum Experience and Skills:
  • Five years of security system consultancy/implementation experience in security industry and experience with managed security system Command Center.
  • Experience regarding physical security in collaboration with safety, including IT and facility management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the state-of-the-art security equipment standards and technology encompassing all physical security products.
  • Advanced knowledge of information, personnel and premises security processes and procedures and ability to develop and maintain appropriate levels of security.
  • Knowledge of and ability to employ internal controls and to enhance business strategies for the purpose of detecting, delaying, assessing, responding and preventing loss and protecting assets.
  • Proven ability to operating within a matrixed working environment and manage contractors who provide system consultancy and implementation.
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Extensive experience regarding Access Control, Guest Management and Video Surveillance Systems.
  • Able to travel approximately 25% of the time.
