Supply Chain Financial Analyst

This position supports the Supply Chain functional organization, working directly with Supply Chain Leadership. Responsible for developing preliminary business plans, financial models, functional financial reports and other deliverables to Supply Chain and Vectrus Senior Leadership. These may include projected cost, revenue and profit models for various opportunities related to Supply Chain, Materials Management, Logistics, Warehousing, and more.

  • Enter and adjust data for Supply Chain reports, forms, and spreadsheets. Consolidates data for visible overview of financial status of projects/ programs in coordination with Supply Chain management
  • Monitor and edit financial data on a regular basis to verify data entered is current, accurate, and up to date
  • Compile and publish detailed reports to management and internal customers using multiple data sources
  • Analyze and develop cost data to determine the overall status of proposed initiatives, including projected operating expense, revenue and margin trends
  • Conduct numerous cost studies for a variety of decision-making processes involving planning, procurement, contracting, budgetary actions, and financial resources
  • Review and analyze a broad base of historical data and current trends to validate and consolidate requests and estimates for potential opportunities
  • Develop and maintain Excel models to facilitate effective monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  • Perform monthly reconciliation activities in coordination with cost accounting staff
  • Assist in developing cost and progress reports
  • Support progress reviews and meetings
  • Create, maintain, and track action item register, as required by project(s)
  • Other duties that may be assigned to meet company and departmental goals and objectives


Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Supply Chain or related program
  • Potential for day travel to alternate Vectrus offices in the MD/VA area as needed

  • Five years' experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Experience in supply chain metrics and financial modeling
  • Experience planning and tracking budgets
  • Experience forecasting and analyzing data using advanced computations skills
  • Experience providing financial or resource reports by researching and utilizing data sources to identify needs
  • Experience assisting with long-term business plans based on financial health and trend analysis
  • Experience assisting with financial or resource assessments while executing solutions to current and future financial or resource issues
  • Experience with IFS and UltiPro software desired
  • Advanced experience with Excel (pivot tables, named ranges, charts, graphs, conditional formatting, etc.) required
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams highly desired

  • Attention to detail and accuracy while balancing multiple requirements/activities
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to track, manage, and prioritize individual's tasks required
  • Ability to work successfully with technical and project management professionals
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a larger group required
