Lead Business Development Analyst

Job Description Summary

The Business Development Analyst is responsible for supporting the business development team with research, analytics, project management and presentation work related to inorganic business activities, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures.

In this role you will:
  • Conduct market and company-specific research
  • Develop a thorough understanding of core GE Power segments and adjacencies in order to actively participate in the identification of potential targets and partners
  • Work with the extended business development team on the evaluation of inorganic opportunities, including the analysis of markets, business plans, synergies, financials, etc
  • Execute financial modeling and valuation of acquisitions, divestitures and partnerships
  • Monitor competitive dynamics and generate regular summaries for business development and business leadership
  • Provide project management for transactions, including with respect to marketing and due diligence activities
  • Prepare and edit internal presentations to support critical decision making by senior management

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Strategic Planning, or Financial Analysis

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% global/domestic as required
  • Fluency in English

  • Strong self-starter, with the ability to independently execute on deliverables and to overcome obstacles
  • Experience and proficiency with financial modeling and financial statement analysis
  • Proven project management and organization skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work successfully with many stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of data for senior leader decision-making
  • High energy and the ability to energize others
  • Acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral and personal values
