Job Summary

The Salesforce Center of Excellence Team is focused on optimizing Salesforce solutions and maximizing value across the enterprise. Salesforce is an enterprise platform targeted to help accelerate our transformation program, enable innovation, and help realize our vision for a reimagined healthcare system. Our team works cross-functionally to link our key business strategies and initiatives with our platform roadmap and day-to-day operations. We are responsible for driving critical business and vendor alignment, defining and executing the enterprise product roadmap, and maintaining operational excellence.

The Business Systems Analyst, Consultant, reporting to the Salesforce Center of Excellence - Sr Manager, will play a key role in the digital transformation of Blue Shield of California's sales and enrollment experience. This hands-on, critical role will be accountable for managing all data-related requirements including product, broker and application records.

Responsibilities
  • Owner of ongoing data management for quoting and enrollment processes/systems.
  • Continuously builds expertise in salesforce data model and dependent data sources.
  • Leads and collaborates cross-functionally in analyzing, designing, and forming solutions to achieve the business outcome and meet the business requirements.
  • Provides analytical support for multiple, cross-functional efforts simultaneously, establishes work plans and timelines; coordinates with internal and external resources.
  • Acquire and construct complex data from many sources and formats to support business and system requirements.
  • Identify and solve referential data requirements for business process automation initiatives.
  • Takes initiative to identify and implement data quality best practices and process efficiencies.
  • Identifies existing inefficiencies and problems and takes action to implement solutions.
  • Anticipates unrealized problems and recommends solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining databases.
  • Participates and/or Leads review and design concept work for new data systems, develops and documents technical design for solution implementation.
  • A passion for using technology to achieve business outcomes.




Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience
  • Generally, requires 8 to 12 years of directly related professional experience and possesses deep technical abilities in one or more primary products, programs or technologies.
  • Typically, requires a college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Desired project management, business analysis (IIBA), or lean sigma certifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Knowledge in technology platform and application uses and functions.
  • Typically, viewed as a specialist within discipline.
  • May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of automated systems in current BSC ecosystem preferred.
  • Business knowledge of BSC Medical and Specialty products preferred.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve crossfunctional problems related to business operations utilizing statistical analysis methodology.
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to perform analyses such as GAP, process mapping, rootcause, risk, and requirements data gathering.

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
