Site Name: Guayama JV Posted Date: Jul 27 2021 As a Operations Shift Leader you will be responsible for The Operations Shift Leader is accountable for manufacturing/packaging and documentation of solid dosage products assuring compliance with production plans and company standards by executing operating steps of the manufacturing process. Under minimum supervision from the Operations Supervisor; are responsible for coordinating the implementation of production plans and schedules utilizing the proper equipment and instructions defined in applicable safety policies, procedures and Manufacturing/Packaging Production Records in either electronic or paper format following current procedures, documentation practices and cGMPS. You will be responsible to develop strategies to meet the production standards (OEE, cleaning and change over times, Informance tagging and others) daily. You must also possess initiative, leadership, broad knowledge of solid dosage operations and good interpersonal skills. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Coordinates personnel and assigned tasks. Responsible for the coordination on daily basis of resources, equipment and material to run processes as per the requested process flow according to schedule needs. Applies safety policies and GMP knowledge in daily operations involving oneself and other team members (i.e., LOTO, PPE utilization, housekeeping, gowning, good documentation practices, cross contamination prevention, etc.) Perform daily safety inspections (BASE) Performs cleaning processes in the manufacturing/packaging rooms, washroom, equipment and general area as per respective SOPs. Maintains process equipment and clothing as per established SOPs. Exhibits company values and works in a team environment to accomplish individual/team goals in the manufacture of products. Troubleshoots the overall manufacturing/packaging line operation using the main SCADA control system. Reacts to equipment alarms to identify root causes and solve alarm conditions. Is expected to train other manufacturing/packaging operators on processes, equipment and safety standards and provide coaching and feedback to team members on an on-going basis. Responsible for the suggestion and co-lead the implementation of optimization efforts of equipment, process and yields. Monitors OEE, cleaning and change over time performance to meet the standards/metrics established and evaluates downtime root causes to recommend/implement operational improvements. If any standard/metric changes adapt the strategy to meet the new established goals. Assure that all components and equipment are ready for manufacturing/packaging when needed. Setting up, loading & unloading, cleaning and operating equipment such as blenders, filler and packaging machines following weekly manufacturing/packaging schedule and related SOPs. Transfer materials between work centers as needed. Operate analog and digital controls and instruments on the manufacturing/packaging equipment. Manufacturing/Packaging processes and operations: Weighing, Addition, Blending, and Filler and Packaging. Assist in routine preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and provide support to basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and instruments. Tracks the metrics daily and identifies problems and recommends ideas to meet/fix them. Revise and evaluate manufacturing records and documentation to ensure compliance with good documentation practices and cGMPs. Support in validation and/or qualification processes. Take measures to exclude from operations any person who might be a source of microbial contamination due to a health conditions following site procedures. Supervises overall sanitation practices and ensures personnel is trained in the sanitation procedures, which include washing hands thoroughly (and sanitizing if necessary, to protect against contamination with microorganisms) in an adequate hand-washing facility: Supervises and ensures personnel is trained in the processes to prevent contamination of components or products while performing manufacturing operations to avoid potential growth of microorganisms and the potential for contamination. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals Bachelor's degree plus with 3 years of applied experience in packaging equipment and/or managing people or Associate Degree in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or related Degree plus 6 year of experience as Manufacturing/Packaging Operator or Mechanic or Operations Shift Leader is an experienced level, High School with 8 years of experience in more than 3 Manufacturing/Packaging Processes Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering or Science.
