Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas (UA Cossatot) began in DeQueen, Arkansas in 1975 as an Arkansas Vocational-Technical School, designed to provide relevant workforce training for four counties in southwest Arkansas. Fast forward to now where UA Cossatot has four vibrant campuses and over 1500 students learning in a variety of for-credit disciplines plus a host of area industry employees sharpening their skills through our workforce training programs. Summary of Job Duties:

To teach courses within an educational setting; create and update students' individual learning plans; teach structured classes or one-on-one, arrange and lead student field trips; use instructional aids and educational media; arrange for speakers or special demonstrations to enhance curriculum; give individual instruction as needed; maintain student records, including attendance, testing, progression, and achievements; advise students regarding short and long-term educational goals; recruit and retain students; attend annual professional development activities to obtain at minimum 18 hours for part time. This instructor will provide adult learners with the mechanisms to improve and refine their basic academic skills; obtain a HSE diploma; improve English proficiency; and obtain employment and life skills that prepare them for self-sufficiency and improvement in the quality of life.

Salary Information:
$22 per hour/10 hours per week
