Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

Ensure compliance with Electric & Gas BPU initiatives. Review and update Business Continuity and Contingency Plans for Electric & Gas Operations. Review and update Emergency Preparedness policies, plans and procedures including but not limited to: Emergency Operations Plans (EOP), EOP Annexes, Logistics Plans and Emergency Response Plans.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and Perform annual readiness training and exercises across Electric/Gas Distribution. Manage Daily Operation and Utility calls, Utility Emergency Operations Center (UEOC) and UEOC On-Call teams for both Gas and Electric. Support the Mutual Aid process for Electric & Gas Operations.
• Interface between Electric/Gas Distribution, Transmission and external agencies (NAMAG, FEMA, OEM, DHS, EEI, AGA, etc.) in coordinating efforts for large system emergencies including development and implementation of exercises, policies, plans and procedures with the Incident Command System (ICS).
• Develop/Create/Monitor Emergency Management/Emergency Preparedness Actions
• Monitor compliance with BPU readiness related initiatives
• Prepare lessons learned, finalize action items and track progress/completion
• Design and implement annual readiness training across Electric Distribution and Annual Storm Exercises
• Manage the PSEG Business Continuity Plan across Electric Distribution
• Attend industry best practice meetings for PSE&G Electric/Gas Operations (NAMAG, FEMA, OEM, DHS, EEI, AGA etc.)

Job Specific Qualifications

o BA/BS degree in Engineering or related discipline
o Broad experience in Electric Distribution and Gas Delivery Operations
o Knowledge of emergency preparedness planning process and procedures
o Excellent communication and presentation skills
o Proven ability to establish and maintain effective team relationships across Enterprise
o Must be willing and able to work all hours associated with storm restoration

Desired:

• MBA, MPA or other Advanced Emergency Management courses
• Certified Emergency Manager (CEM/AEM) or equivalent, Master Business Continuity Practitioner or equivalent, certified ICS trainer/instructor or similar experience

Education

Bachelor in Engineering or Emergency Management
