Field Service Representative

Iwakuni, Japan

As a Field Service Representative with Rolls-Royce, you will play an integral role supporting the Marine Corps Air Station, Japan by providing technical guidance in the evaluation of the LiftSystem technology. You will be a representative of Rolls-Royce when liaising with our customers, as well as your counterparts in Bristol and Indianapolis.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Providing technical assistance to Pratt and Whitney, as well as government personnel on issues to include: LiftSystem or Aircraft interface issues, Lift System troubleshooting, LiftSystem maintenance, LiftSystem repairs and logistic support
  • Utilising Maximo to support data collection, with a view to provide regular status updates, corrective actions and closure statements to the on-site team, Bristol and Indianapolis
  • Reviewing proposed engineering changes with the view of minimising adverse impact on the product in the field
  • Collaborating with Rolls-Royce Customer Training Services to develop and conduct supplemental training to maintenance activities through on the job training and classroom instruction
  • Providing support such as site visits, hardware operation, maintenancesafety briefs, field training, accident investigations, meetings, in-flight evaluations and direct requests on short notice
  • Interpreting and refining maintenance and repair instructions, damage acceptance and repair limits, as well as LiftSystem modification accomplishment instructions
  • Travelling on short notice both domestically and internationally in support of campaigns

Basic Qualifications :
  • An Associates degree in Engineering, Aerospace or Aviation Technology and 4+ years of experience in aviation propulsion maintenance, with an emphasis on DoD military operations OR;
  • A Bachelor`s degree in Engineering, Aerospace or Aviation Technology and 2+ years of experience in aviation propulsion maintenance, with an emphasis on DoD military operations OR;
  • A Master`s degree in Engineering, Aerospace or Aviation Technology and 0+ years of experience in aviation propulsion maintenance, with an emphasis on DoD military operations OR;
  • In lieu of a degree 6+ years of experience in aviation propulsion maintenance, with an emphasis on DoD military operations
  • Experience of working in a customer support capacity within aviation propulsion maintenance
  • Competency in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship.


Preferred Qualifications :
  • Airframe and Power Plant licence
  • JSF LiftSystem experience
  • Strong technical and theoretical knowledge of jet engine design, construction, and systems operation
