Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business Analyst that who will be responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, and deploying meaningful analysis, reports and metrics to drive construction performance. You will measure and track current performance and forecast future performance, and support project scheduling, cost tracking & resource planning and provide timely, actionable information to decision makers in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects and deadlines. The position uses data analysis and reporting software such as SAP, SQL, SAS and Tableau to collect data from disparate data systems across multiple software platforms to complete analytics. You will:

  • Produces routine reporting and analysis accurately per established deadlines

  • Develops timely, accurate, in-depth analysis and provides support to project management in cost, schedule, variance analysis and corrective action recommendations, and produces a variety of management reports

  • Ensures data quality and data integrity from multiple systems, and work with Project Managers to ahcieve improved information in systems and reports when identified.

  • Leads data cleansing in systems and reports when identified by working with cross-functional teams within the organization

  • Collaborates with leadership to ensure that analysis and reports are appropriate and useful, and KPI reporting is in line with Corporate strategic goals

  • Prepares analyses and presentations to support recommendations to all levels of the organization.

  • Provides regular and accurate responses to customer requests for information gathering and analysis.

  • Develop and maintain expertise with key systems, such as the work management systems (ARM+SAP), financial systems (Peoplesoft + Powerplant), and mapping system (Small World).

  • Serves as subject matter expert related to construction processes and supporting analytics to assist leadership with solving problems.

  • Supports data gathering for construction related regulatory requests as needed.

  • Facilitate communication and information flow between Business Units.

  • Retrieves and analyzes data to supports special projects or ad hoc business case preparation.

  • Leads the efforts to standardized reporting procedures and the monitoring of overall project performance.

  • Other Duties as assigned.

Must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics or other relatable quantitative field with a minimum of five(5) years of related analytical experience. A Master's degree is preferred and may be applied toward experience requirement

  • Demonstrated proficiency performing data analysis to support business decisions

  • Advanced proficiency using Excel, SAP, SQL and/or SAS to retrieve, analyze, and present information

  • Working knowledge of WG enterprise systems preferred. (ARM, SAP, Peoplesoft, Powerplant, Smallworld)

  • Working knowledge of regulated utility industry practices or demonstrated ability to understand and master nuances of financial practices in multiple industries preferred
