BS/MS Research Scientist, Exploratory Immuno-Oncology

Job Description

The Exploratory Immuno-Oncology department at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) in Cambridge, MA, has an exciting opportunity for a B.S. or M.S. level scientist. In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on developing innovative cellular immunotherapies. Your work will contribute towards increasing our biological understanding of emerging cancer targets and optimizing a cell-based therapy platform. This position is ideal for those who wish to combine their interest in immunology with their strong desire to discover novel therapeutic solutions. This position requires prior experience with mammalian cell culture and relevant experience in immunology.

What you will be doing;
•Design, direct and execute various immune cell based in vitro assays to characterize immune cells phenotype, function and interaction to accelerate projects in pre-clinical and clinical development.
•Collaborate closely with the in vivo team
•Analyze, interpret, and present data in team meetings

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role;
•BS/MS degree in biology, immunology, or relevant field
•2+ years of relevant experience. Experience in cellular immunotherapy is strongly preferred
•Proficiency in mammalian cell culture
•Hands-on experience with multi-color flow cytometry and data analysis. Experience with 8+ color channels is a plus
•Hands-on experience in cellular and immune cell-based assays
•Experience in molecular cloning, gene editing, and lentiviral transduction is a plus
•Proven success in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent organizational skills for tracking experiments, study results, and reagents
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Curiosity
