This position is responsible for providing end-to-end account management, communication, and deliverables to help solve business issues and drive results for OptumInsight. The account manager will serve as the point person between OptumInsight segment, Enterprise Marketing Capabilities and Optum Brand. Direct accountabilities include collaborating with product and integrated marketers on project scope, deliverables, approvals, planning and executing activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met to achieve requirements.

Key responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
    • Work with internal partners on end-to-end creation of marketing material including sales decks, collateral, web content, case studies, etc.
    • Translate Statement of Work/Project Scope into an executable, detailed business project work plan
    • Ensure project work plan is updated regularly and adhered to by all team members
    • Deliver specific projects within agreed objectives, timelines and budgets
    • Understand and adheres to process/project management best practices
    • Proactively works to identify potential area of concern, propose possible solution and escalate where needed
    • Proficient in utilizing internal project management tool and processes
    • Able to lead larger projects - with portions managed by others
    • Can work independently and easily transition from one program/client to another with minimal issue
    • Ability to track budgets and accurately submit invoices/ expenses
    • Work with vendors and marketers on projects requiring content creation to ensure content is brand compliant
  • Communication:
    • Actively work to build strong relationships across enterprise
    • Ensure close liaison with project owners to ensure expectations are met
    • Proactively provide ongoing and timely communication
    • Meet with project and integrated partners to provide project updates, answer questions, and determine future need
  • Process Champion:
    • Understand business process and identifies potential improvement
    • Assesses existing processes and identifies opportunities for increased efficiency
    • Influence and drive understanding/ consensus among stakeholders regarding process improvements
    • Build knowledge of aligned business products and solutions to help impact business objectives

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of marketing experience; including exposure to product marketing, creative services team and marketing managers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles and direct experience implementing robust programs
  • Strong program and project management skills are paramount to the success of this role
  • Ability to juggle, prioritize and balance competing goals, projects and personalities
  • Analytical, organizational, and demonstrated interpersonal skills are a requirement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise briefs
  • Fluency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • 0-10% travel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with WorkFront is preferred

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
