The Sales Implementation Director is responsible for managing a team of Sales Implementation Managers. The team is responsible for the implementation of the Institutional Special Needs Plan (ISNP) and Optum Care Model in contracted facilities. Working with the VP of New Business Implementation, they will lead the team to achieve targeted outcomes, ensure policies and procedures adherence, and execution. Collaborate with local sales leadership to help drive new enrollments and support same store growth initiatives.

The Sales Implementation Director is accountable for successful implementations and relaunches that result in new gross adds consistent with budgeted membership and ongoing enrollment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct weekly 1/1 with direct reports to facilitate and monitor performance
  • Provide month end report to VP of Implementation and action plans for subsequent month
  • May require face to face contact with SNF personnel to address implementation concerns and present the Optum CCM value proposition and implementation process
  • Provide compliance oversight and ensure all assigned sales implementation personnel abide by the Medicare Marketing Guidelines. Ensure SNF adhere to the processes and provide an document remediation plans and execution.
  • Manage the implementation and adherence with the CCM direct to consumer sales model
  • Utilize the MAP process to establish, discuss and monitor direct report's performance, create development plans, and implement corrective action measures as appropriate and described in Optum performance management guidelines
  • Recruit, hire and assist with the training of sales personnel
  • Provide day to day direction to SIMs and assigned management personnel
  • Manage CRM tool (bConnected/Compass) in accordance with departmental policies and metrics
  • Oversee the implementation process for the completion or coordination of all activities and milestones in the standardized implementation model and execute as required.
  • Ensure new and relaunch SNF launch metrics are achieved
  • Serve as subject matter expert for market(s)

Required Qualifications:
  • Appropriate state licensure within 90 days of hire date, or able to obtain
  • 3+ years leadership and/or management experience
  • Experience utilizing a CRM (Sales/Compass, Siebel, or a similar product)
  • Intermediate user level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Lead management software knowledge
  • Presentation skills
  • Decision making/problem solving skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to work a variety of hours, early morning, evenings and weekends, as required by various sales and implementation activities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in project management or sales management, preferably in a health care environment
  • Budgeting expertise
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry
  • Technical knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially long-term care Medicaid and Medicare
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
