Positions in this function include those responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining and publishing reports and dashboards that support OptumRx business areas. Provides cross-functional analysis utilized for decision making. May make recommendations based on the analysis, and provide explanations for reporting results as needed. May be done for internal operational purposes as well as for customers. *Employees in jobs labeled with 'SCA' must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Create reporting and analytics solutions using best tool for the job; options include Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, PowerBI, DOMO, SnowFlake, AzureCloud and more
  • Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data
  • Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
  • Review the analysis and interpretation of others' work and coordinate with your own work
  • Develop ad-hoc client and operational reports; productionalize these reports where needed
  • Support short and long term strategic business activities through analysis
  • Develop and implement effective strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes
  • Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
  • Impact of work is across OptumRx and impacts decisions made and actions taken to optimize growth opportunities, reduce costs, improve customer experience and elevate employee engagement

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent degree/experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business, operations, process or finance analysis
  • 2+ years of experience developing data/analytics solutions
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Intermediate understanding of one or more Business Intelligence software tools, e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, MiniTab, SSRS, SnowFlake, AzureCloud, DOMO, PowerBI, Python, MySQL or SQL

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Consulting experience (Internal or External)
  • Expert understanding of one or more Business Intelligence software tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, MiniTab, SSRS, SnowFlake, AzureCloud, DOMO, PowerBI, Python, MySQL or SQL)
  • Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting data

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
