Installation Technician windows/doors

Description/Job Summary

Installers are responsible for the installation of products such as insulation, windows, framing, trim, and any companion products that may be accompanied. The incumbent may have to select the proper material and method of installation, and utilize common hand tools to measure, cut and fit various materials. Other duties around the store warehouse will also be completed as necessary by the Installer.

Other duties include:
  • Completion of prep work for needed materials per installation
  • Installation of product and companion products
  • Loads and unloads, completes safety checks and basic maintenance and care of trucks
  • Completes warehouse duties including stocking, inventory counts, cleanups, unloading of semi's etc.
  • Handles job cleanup
  • Completes paperwork required for reporting time worked, materials loaded, returned inventory, used supplies, etc.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program

Se viajara localmente, no se quedara a dormer.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out simple one or two-step instructions; deal with standardized situations|with only occasional or no variables.

Required Experience

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED);|or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must have clean driving record.
  • Must meet minimum education requirements to operate vehicles as needed.
  • General construction knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to work in confined spaces as well as roof top applications
