POSITION: PC&L Group Leader

Plant: 3 (2nd shift)

LEVEL: 5-6

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead trainer for JFK/MOM, TMS and QAD functions for all drivers and clerks on assigned shift.
  • Manage hourly employees to meet established production goals for delivery, safety and morale; make sure process procedures are followed (ie; orange crush zone procedure, material handling (stacking and storage) procedure. Etc...)
  • Monitor, record, and report production data (scrap cost, overtime cost, etc.)
  • Create cross training plans and maintain training records for all hourly team members
  • Monitor and maintain time and attendance records daily
  • Monitor suppler/transportation compliance/assist in developing transportation routes
  • Assist in supermarket development and maintenance
  • Maintain strong Internal Controls
  • Engage in flawless launch on new parts/programs
  • Troubleshoot daily safety and production issues
  • Communicate work and needs with other departments and shifts (Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, and Tooling)
  • Supervise 5S conditions/activities
  • Monthly Health & Safety walks and talks
  • Maintain carboard inventory
  • Lead deliveries and shipments on the dock daily and on the weekends
  • Monitor inventory to meet shipping requirements
  • Communicates frequently with internal and external customers on various issues
  • Complies with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement
  • Must work mandatory overtime as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintain inventory levels and order purchased parts to support production
  • Maintain accurate inventory (cycle counts)
  • Maintain QAD system parameters
  • Track delivery of material from suppliers
  • Manage premium freight of incoming material
  • Manage troubled suppliers
  • Manage containers from CSC to assembly lines
  • Manage interplant material
  • Maintain Shipping / Receiving Procedure Compliance
  • Manage purchased parts service schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
  • Cross-functional understanding
  • Excellent computer skills (worksheets/presentations, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Experience in material flow
  • Shipping and receiving experience
  • General logistics knowledge required
  • Warehousing experience preferred
  • Experience in information flow (systems knowledge)


DEGREE: Bachelor's Degree Preferred
