The Senior Manager, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Analyst is responsible to support the development and execution of the SD&OP process for Bristol Myers Squibb’s clinical and commercial supply.

You will be responsible for the analysis and insights needed during the monthly SD&OP process to ensure balance between demand and supply. The role will work with cross-functional teams to understand demand and supply evolution on a 36-month horizon along with analyzing KPIs and recommending action plans to resolve imbalances.

This role requires you to be proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to look at the bigger picture. Strong relationship building, problem solving, and communication skills are key to this job. Ideally, the candidate will be able to bring clarity to discussions and topics where many viewpoints and/or ambiguity exist.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, to the following:
  • Own data gathering, analysis, insight extraction, recommendation generation, and material preparation in support of monthly SD&OP meetings including with senior management.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to update analytics and takeaways required to support Demand, Supply and/or Alignment meetings and decision making.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment to ensure smooth delivery of monthly SD&OP cadence. Suggest risks, opportunities, and actions for team to evaluate to deliver optimal business results.
  • Collaborate with sites / functions on weekly and monthly Pre-SD&OP reviews to ensure timely supply of product and track actuals vs. plan.
  • Monitor demand needs and supply timing to identify issues and opportunities. Liaise with operational teams to evaluate longer term view of supply availability against demand needs.
  • Highlight issues and opportunities to improve supply chain operational performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Develop presentation materials including projections, KPIs etc., and participate in the monthly SD&OP meetings.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
  • Support the annual budget planning process as required.
  • Develop new tools and capabilities to drive improvement in the SD&OP process. Support transition of SD&OP model from Excel based to a sustainable and scalable software tool
  • Escalate business critical decisions points to management
  • Partners with other stakeholders to create and leverage Lean/Six-Sigma to implement best practices
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
  • Experience with Cell Therapy and/or Pharmaceutical is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years’ professional experience with supply chain, demand/supply/production planning, inventory, analytics, information systems, BI/data visualization, project planning, process improvement and/or reporting
  • Prior experience planning in a multiple manufacturing site and/or contract manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional technical and analytical ability to extract, analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex data. Ability to translate analysis into key takeaways and actionable reporting. Strong knowledge of demand and supply planning process and business planning.
  • Proven collaboration and teamwork skills with a track record of execution with cross-functional and matrix teams.
  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint. Strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clear communicator who is organized, detail oriented and can interact cross-functionally and with global teams across organizational levels.
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills; detail-oriented systems thinker who can understand impacts across supply chain.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable with ambiguity; can handle requests that do not have substantial detail.
  • Curious, inquisitive, and interested to learn more about Supply Chain, Operations Planning and Cell Therapy.
  • Oracle EBS / Advance Supply Chain Planning or SAP experience required
  • APICS or Six-Sigma Certification is a plus
