The Associate Director, Lung Cancer Peer-to-Peer, is a commercial member of the Lung Marketing Team and leads the Peer-to-Peer marketing activities for the Novartis Lung Portfolio. The Associate Director is responsible for executing the brand’s peer-to peer strategies, including driving novel educational programming for HCPs. The primary focus of this role is to engage HCPs participating in Novartis-sponsored programs in a robust educational dialogue regarding the Lung portfolio and therapeutic areas and serves as the commercial peer contact to HCPs. This person works in direct alignment with Lung Marketing team colleagues as well as with Regional Marketing, Field Leadership, Training and other key internal cross-functional partners to identify educational programs and ensure successful execution.

Specifically, the Associate Director will be responsible for:

•Developing and executing innovative and engaging educational programming (both live and virtual) for HCP audiences related to disease and treatment within the Lung portfolio focus areas
•Identifying and developing local peer-to-peer education strategies in coordination with the commercial marketing teams
•Assisting in the development of commercial HCP Medical Education and tactical plans anchored in the brand strategic priorities
•Facilitating in the execution of educational events and specific activities including the development of program content, event agenda, and budget management
•Contributing to content development by providing customer insights and perspective, increasing program impact and compliance
•Seeking out information from relevant medical and scientific literature, scientific meetings, symposia, and seminars to enable a balanced and informed perspective on the current trends in lung cancer
•Liaising closely with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance to execute brand tactics successfully
•Ensuring alignment to and ownership of NPC policies including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA)
•Planning and executing advisory boards and internal consultant meetings with Lung Medical Experts to inform and support key strategies and tactics
•Communicating Medical Expert insights with Field Force Training, to ensure that relevant market issues are being addressed as part of ongoing internal training
•Developing and maintaining Annual Consulting Business Plan (ACBP) for Lung portfolio in collaboration with key stakeholders and program management in accordance with Novartis Ethics and Compliance Policy and Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA)

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

•Minimum 5 years of Oncology/Hematology experience required
•Experience engaging with Medical Experts preferred
•Marketing experience or other commercial experience other than sales is strongly preferred
•Strong project management expertise and the ability to exercise informal leadership across matrix teams and vendor partners
•Working knowledge of Novartis Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) requirements strongly preferred
•BA/BS required; advanced degree (PhD, MBA, MS, MD) preferred
•Travel expected to be 20%
