Staff Research Associate II

Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for
Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Staff Research
Associate II to join the Laboratory of Neuromodulation and Neuroimaging.
Primary duties include:
  • Conducting studies on the neuronal basis of learning and memory
  • Conduct neuronal recordings while presenting virtual reality cognitive tasks to epilepsy patients with electrodes implanted for monitoring seizures and PTSD
  • Assist in studies with Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in healthy adults and those with memory disorders
  • Assist with management of busy lab with postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate students, and volunteers
  • Assist with grant applications and reports, preparation of human subjects, IRB applications and renewals, and preparation/editing of correspondence related to the program
  • Handling purchases for the program and interaction with the funding agencies
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Health Sciences related field
