Parsons seeks qualified individuals to put forth their resume to assist us in winning a contract for the Washington Metro Area Transportation Authority , to upgrade lighting fixtures located in light rail stations throughout the DC area with energy-efficient lighting. Work is expected to last until August of 2023.

Upon Parsons being given Notice-To-Proceed, candidates that applied to this position and were given contingent offers will begin work. Announcement of award date is expected September 20, 2021 with Notice-To-Proceed occurring soon afterwards.

This job posting is specifically for the position of Office Engineer Field Support of which two candidates will be chosen.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain full familiarity with plans, specifications, construction schedules, and contractor's plans on assigned contracts, the Project Management Plan (PMP), and current safety regulations in order to be knowledgeable of the project team responsibilities, disseminating such information to office and field staff as required to keep Authority personnel accurately informed of relevant matters;

* Coordinate with WMATA

* Review and submit Site-Specific Work Plans and General Orders and Track Rights requests for track support

* Assist in the interpretation of contract drawings

Qualifications:

* A bachelor's degree in Engineering or in a related field is preferred (in lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven years of work experience in a related field, of which two years shall be in the transportation industry);

* A minimum of three years of experience in teams involved in design, construction, or major repair/rehabilitation of infrastructure projects;

* Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong technical writing skills; and

* Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD

Bonus:

Not required, but would be preferable if candidates have:

* Familiarity with WMATA codes and standards

* WMATA Safety training

* Familiarity with WMATA QC process

* Familiarity with Procore software
