Health care research staff members research, analyze, write, and present at least two research studies per year. Studies identify and explore salient issues and industry trends that are of universal and vital importance to the membership. Studies typically examine the forces that have shaped the current state of the industry and offer projections regarding its evolution and future. By modeling best practices and organizational structures of the world's most progressive organizations, studies provide our member institutions with a set of feasible practices and future vision.

Consultants assume an integral role in major research studies and provide intellectual leadership within teams.

Consultants provide analytical direction and guidance throughout all stages of study cycle, working through extensive primary and secondary research, hypothesis generation and testing, rigorous analysis of findings, and the final presentation of ideas.

A research consultant (or associate director) in the Executive Insights Lab is responsible for researching and writing studies that fall under the exclusive purview of the EI Lab (and not within another Content terrain or subterrain). Topics will focus on the top issues facing health care executives across the industry, integrated care delivery; mergers & acquisitions; health care legislative reform; medical group strategy; health system financial performance; and more.
