Director, Regional Accounts- EAST

Job Description

The Director Regional Accounts - East is an active member of the Regional Leadership Team leading a Regional Account Director (RAD) team based in the eastern region.

The Biogen RAD division is responsible for managing key regional accounts including, regional payers, regional PBM, Integrated Health Systems and select Specialty Pharmacies. The Director is responsible for orchestrating a best-in-class account management approach to executing our regional market access strategy through people leadership, exemplary cross-functional stakeholder engagement and senior-level account relationships. The Director leads the team’s collaboration with Market Access personnel, payer marketing, commercial analytics, US Medical and divisional sales leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Establishes the Regional Account access strategy and RAD exection plan as an active member of the Regional Account Leadership team
  • Leads collaborate across a broad team of internal stakeholders to implement both pharmacy and medical benefit product strategies with regional accounts achieving Biogen business goals
  • Develops a high performing diverse account management team by appropriately using key tools, including account management coaching framework, performance management and developmental programs
  • Guides the RAD team to execute the pharmacoeconomic value of Biogen’s industry-leading products and services

Qualifications

Required Skills
  • Minimum of ten years biotech/pharma experience required with preference in specialty biologics
  • At keast five years of successful leadership of a Market Access account team team
  • Deep knowledge of Regional payers, IDN/Integrated Health Systems, State Medicaid, and Medicare
  • Working experience with both the pharmacy and medical benefit products is essential
  • Product launch experience in environments that require formulary committee decision making

Preferred Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required. MBA and/or PharmD Preferred
  • Regional or National payer work experience
  • Experience within the Neurology disease states, Rare Disease and/or Biosimiliars a plus

In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
