Senior Organizational Development Consultant


The Center for Organizational Readiness and Education (CORE), a department in UCLA Health's Human Resources, seeks a Senior Organizational Development Consultant (OD Consultant) whose talent for delivering business consultation, support, and expertise rivals their passion for supporting the vision and (strategic/operational) goals of UCLA Health.

As our Senior Organizational Development Consultant, you will be a seasoned professional individual contributor reporting to the Organizational Development Manager who will bring, to UCLA Health, the best and most innovative examples of organizational development practices and top notch expertise for leading change management, leadership and team consulting, as well as organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Essential Duties:
  • Strategically apply change management processes and tools to address gaps in organization's culture and other success factors.
  • Map existing processes, conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Consult to and collaborate with institute leaders and HR partners to enhance leader and team effectiveness, employee engagement and development.
  • Design, customize, and deliver needs assessments, diagnosis, process analysis, improvement initiatives, etc.
  • Provide thought leadership and expert advisement in change management and team cohesion.
  • Work collaboratively to design change management approaches that deliver innovative and insightful, yet practical solutions for a range of simple to complex challenges.
  • Use data-driven solutions to address human factors affecting organization's ability to reach strategic goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences/Human Resources Management/Organizational Development strongly preferred
  • 8 years of experience leading change management initiatives in organizations preferred
  • Substantial experience leading change management initiatives, group facilitation, team effectiveness, process improvement, strategic planning, coaching, large group facilitation, and organizational design
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting verbal and written communications and quantitative data to draw conclusions and make recommendation
  • Deep knowledge and experience with every stage of the consulting cycle
  • Demonstrated expertise in design, development, and delivery of leadership, management, and team effectiveness programming
  • Preference given to professionals with training and facilitation experience.
  • Experience with building a client base: Identifying a need (market) for consulting
