Summary of Job Duties:

*Provides or makes provisions for support to CPI students
*Serves as student support system contact
*Tracks student progress through graduation and into employment
*Develops and facillitates CPI orientation sessions
*Counsels CPI students concerning academic and career interests
*Conducts and coordinates workshops and events for CPI students
*Evaluates CPI applications, interviews enrollees and follows program eligibility standards
*Responsible for recruitment and retention of new CPI students each semester to meet program goals
*Destribute, collect and monitor (weekly/monthly/semester) all CPI student paperwork and required documentation
*Input and maintain CPI student information in Career Pathways database
*Award CPI scholarships each semester
*Manage an annual spending budget for student support
*Maintain CPI student files
*Collaborate with other PCCUA faculty/staff to provide comphrenesive support to CPI students


Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree required, preferably in education, business, or a related field.
  • Work experience may be substituted for education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Must be able to work independently as well as as a team.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Community College experience working one on one with students in a support role.
  • Experience with budgeting and scholarships.
