Business Operations Manager III - Walmart Connect Marketplace

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Business Operations organization at Walmart Connect (WMC) works across teams to drive cross-functional alignment and enable growth of the business. We lead and execute on strategic initiatives, deliver strategic and analytical insights, run executive and companywide reporting forums and drive organizational change and do so by working cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, analytics, operations and engineering. We’re looking for someone to drive key growth initiatives for the business, including the growth of Walmart Connect’s long-tail revenue stream through third-party advertisers.

The Business Operations Manager III will:
  • Own execution of complex strategic initiatives and solve them end-to-end through a combination of insightful analysis, consensus building and project/program management
  • Deliver high-impact quantitative and qualitative analysis and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.
  • Manage cross-functional team and act as a GM to drive growth in our seller ad business
  • Become a trusted advisor within Walmart Connect and across the enterprise
  • Build a small, but mighty team in 1-2 years to support growth of the function


Manager’s Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, statistics or economics; MBA Preferred
  • 10 - 15 years of total experience with 7+ years in strategy/ops functions of large technology companies.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex information from a variety of sources, tell a story and translate findings into implementable recommendations.
  • A track record of managerial leadership and expertise in growing & developing high-functioning teams
  • Passion to do whatever it takes to solve complex problems and build scalable processes
  • Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with all levels of management
  • Experience working with eCommerce Marketplaces and a deep understanding of marketplace competitive landscape, trends, and business models is a plus
