Job Summary

HOA
: Responsible for creating and refining an integrated offering new pharmacy service solutions to Walgreens customers and B2B partners, which are in line with the company strategy to expand the role of pharmacy in healthcare. Ensures that Walgreens Alliance Boots has a compelling offering to health systems, with relevant tools and information to support go-to-market and clear internal processes to streamline execution.

CPI: Leads a team to work collaboratively with key healthcare partner organizations, prospective clients, and other key stakeholder groups to develop offerings that will benefit patients and drive commercial success in the marketplace. This team will lead development of new capabilities that enhance Walgreens healthcare value proposition through close partnership with WBA technology, operations, marketing, and various other teams.
  • Develops strategy and strategic action plans/roadmap around offerings that will benefit patients and drive commercial success in the marketplace.
  • Develops deep subject matter expertise on the needs and motivations of various healthcare stakeholders to support evaluation and prioritization of opportunities.
  • Collaborates with numerous Walgreens stakeholders to gain input and alignment on new concept details; attains all necessary approvals with Walgreens governance bodies.
  • Oversees project management of broad and complex business development programs and takes accountability to ensure projects achieve critical milestones and timelines.
  • Quickly develops working knowledge of Walgreens existing and future-state capabilities in pharmacy and healthcare-pulling in subject matter experts, as appropriate; utilizes this knowledge as input into the product development process.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to executive-level teams of both Walgreens and partner organizations.
  • Analyzes performance drivers, proactively determines actionable strategy, and then contributes to identifying solutions for mitigation and/or optimization to achieve overall business goals.
  • May work collaboratively with Walgreens external healthcare partners to design, package and bundle product and service concepts. Executes a strategic and tactical plan for product and service concepts.
  • May develop strong relationships with counterparts at partner organizations to develop creative product and service solutions that advance both organizations.
  • Oversees project management of broad and complex business development programs and takes accountability to ensure projects achieve critical milestones and timelines.
  • May develop budget for specified area of responsibility and delivers against business goals/objectives.
  • Directs teams accountable for daily operations. Oversees and directs the work of managers, senior managers and their subordinates. Obtains and allocates resources to meet operating plans. Ensures the ongoing training and development of direct reports. Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in one or more of the following: product management, product development, business strategy development or at least 6 years of experience in strategic management consulting OR High School Diploma / GED and at least 9 years of experience of experience in one or more of the following: product management, product development, business strategy development or at least 9 years of experience in strategic management consulting.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
  • Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget.
  • Experience identifying operational issues, recommending, and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience interacting at the executive level.
  • Experience managing client-facing programs.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 3 years experience of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree OR MBA
  • Experience with retail health and/or pharmacy network trends and innovations.
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare operations.
  • Demonstration of working collaboratively with external organizations to identify and deliver mutually beneficial solutions.
