TheArea Facilities Manager is responsible for management of a portfolio offacilities in a specific geographical area.

TheArea Facilities Manager will need to manage maintenance and repair to thesefacilities, and have a clear understanding of how managing these facilitieswill contribute to the success of the client's overall operation.

The Area FacilitiesManager is the area leader of a major, nation-wide Facilities Maintenanceaccount. He/she will have responsibility for supporting the Regional FacilitiesManager with the management of the Facilities, Reporting, and Customer Relationshipthroughout the assigned area. This position is dedicated exclusively and isresponsible for the area and manages activities including supervision of directstaff and matrixed central support functions.

Thisposition reports to a Regional Facilities Manager. The Area FacilitiesManager will be responsible for the performance of the account in their area,and managing a team of dedicated Building Engineers, Field Technicians, andVended Service Providers.

Otherresponsibilities include:
Participate in and make recommendations to drive the optimization of the Facilities Management service model.
Assist Regional Facilities Manager with leading workplace projects and coordination of external resources. Employ, document, and measure sustainable techniques in execution of facilities projects and initiatives.
Use appropriate reporting and metrics to ensure quality on the account.
Negotiate with vendors for services to maintain all operation for facilities.
Participate as part of a national team managing this account. Actively collaborate with peers spread across a wide geography. Learn from and provide information to peers with other areas of strength.

REQUIREMENTS(Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):

Educationand/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum fifteen years related experience
Must have multi-site/account experience.
Strong project management skills
Certified Facilities Manager or CPMM preferred.

IndustryKnowledge and/or Experience
Understanding of Multi-Site Facilities experience.
Ability to identify best practices within industry and a proven ability to apply across multi-site/account scope.
Thorough understanding of Facilities Management
Strong electromechanical experience with a central plant environment
Strong project management skills with proven track record of success
Prefer GMP or lab facilities experience
LEED Green Associate or Certified Energy Auditor certification preferred
Strong BMS/BAS, CMMS, and Office Suite experience
Strong understanding of predictive maintenance methodologies and RCM
Solid understanding of RO/DI systems
Knowledge of OSHA/NFPA regulations
Advanced level communicator to external and internal audiences, at all levels including senior management, client contacts, and subordinate employees.
Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to draft new processes, optimize processes as necessary, and communicate processes as required, both internally and externally.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Self-starter. Candidates must have a track record of achieving large, complex goals without direct supervision.
Strong budget development, financial controls, and cost reduction strategies.
Ability to apply trending and forecasting. Ability to create effective reports to submit to client and to internal management team.
Technicaland Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to work in a hosted software environment, including overseeing productivity and creating reports.
Ability to effectively perform remote meetings (Go-To-Meeting, etc.).
OtherSkills and Abilities
Ability to optimize an operation, including reducing staff if necessary. Must be able to see what an effective model would look like, rather than being bound by what is in place today.
Up to approximately 10% travel required.
