Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere ) is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies. The position of Sr. Manager, Process Management is within our Consumer Products and Services Business Unit, located in Livermore, CA or Orlando, FL at our Acelis Connected Health site.

In this role, plans and implements Company's projects and processes to assure the development and implementation of enterprise software, business process and related functions (communications, office systems, production activities, etc.).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develops strategic plans identifying Information Technology and other applications to support business plans or create new strategic options.
  • Identifies and presents technology products that ensure computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of corporate growth and changing corporate objectives.
  • Maintains dialogue with functional departments on data processing matters in order to evaluate needs, monitor service, advise on problems, encourage data processing educational opportunities, and ensure smooth conversions from manual processes to computerized systems, or from existing computer systems to new and improved ones.
  • Plans and controls staffing, development, organization, acquisitions and facilities for the information technology department to assure that they are consistent with and supportive of the business plans of the Company
  • Directs the design, development and maintenance of systems, programs, and software to meet the needs of the Company
  • Maintains relationships with representatives of firms providing data processing hardware, software and support services.
  • Develops strategic plans identifying technology to support a modern fulfillment process.
  • Follows all regulatory policies, procedures, privacy, and security standards in accordance with government agencies including all SOX and HIPAA requirements.
  • Maintains accuracy of time and attendance data for area of responsibility.
  • Maintains a culture of accountability by setting clear objectives for all employees in areas of responsibility through regular follow-up, variance tracking and results.
  • Responsible for the selection of associates, setting of expectations, and for the motivation and development of new hires within areas of responsibility.
  • Conducts accurate and timely assessment of subordinates through annual performance reviews.
  • Conducts supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable labor laws.
  • Reviews policies and procedures for consistency across corporate wide entities.
  • Identifies and assists with implementation of business processes and productivity improvements within areas of responsibility.
  • Assists with training when required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree a business discipline is required; Master's degree preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of experience managing one or more operational function and 3 or more successful implementation of a major business improvement project.
  • Financial management skills to analyze data for operations, budgeting, forecasting, reserve analysis, and receivable analysis.
  • Working knowledge in the areas of regulatory requirements, and business office operations
