The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Sr. Data Analytics & Risk Mgt Consultant to our Retirement Plan Services (RPS) business. This is a new role that will help us expand our capabilities on inforce management, data analytics, and automation. In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives. You will direct, develop, and perform experience studies, create models and analysis, and provide recommendations to management and key stakeholders. In addition, you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical proficiency to assist other teams across Lincoln with process improvement and innovation.

What you'll be doing

  • Risk management for defined-contribution retirement products
  • Designing: Building and guiding others in creating dashboards, reports, and complex metrics to meet business needs
  • Analyzing: Understanding the data challenges and business considerations to deliver actionable recommendations and insights
  • Collaborating: Educating and mentoring both team members and business partners on best practices
  • Presenting: Organizing findings in a clear, systematic fashion and presenting recommendations to various levels of management and other key stakeholders
  • Innovating and automating: Identifying and directing the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit.


What we're looking for

Must-haves:
  • 5+ years of increasing experience in work that aligns with what you will be doing in the role
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. physics, mathematics, finance, computer science, statistics, actuarial science, and engineering).


Nice-to-haves:
  • Graduate degree or professional designation (e.g. FSA / ASA)
  • Retirement product and general insurance knowledge
  • Advanced Excel, with proficiency in VBA
  • Programming skills -- exposure to R/Python/SQL
  • Modeling skills - exposure to statistical and/or actuarial models
  • Analytical skills -- ability to think critically, identify and solve challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements
