Role Description

At TEKsystems, marketing is about understanding the customer - and building awareness about how our services can satisfy their needs. We're looking for a versatile senior graphic designer who creative and understand the importance manage and maintaining a brand.

TEKsystems is looking for a talented Sr. Graphic Designer to join the creative team as a full-time employee to lead in the design, development and production of the creative. They will act as the role of an Art Director and work with the marketing team to develop visual stories that support the TEKsystems brand and business goals. A successful candidate must be a quick-thinking, creative problem solver who demonstrates a high level of independence. An ability to execute motion design is a plus.

The Sr. Graphic Designer will lead a broad-range of initiatives and campaigns, including traditional, digital, social and print as well as provide creative support for leadership presentations.


Essential Functions:
  • Understand how to effectively use visual story-telling to support business goals.
  • Oversee design projects from conception to delivery with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively generate, conceptualize and pitch ideas to team and leadership.
  • Shows high levels of integrity, passion and commitment, as well as steady strides in building relationships; understands the importance of living the core values.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the brand (voice), business (strategy), and industry.
  • Thoroughly reads all content in order to provide innovative design solutions in support of the overall projects goals and objectives; has a firm understanding of the brand style and can provide design and assets that reflect it.
  • Detail oriented in all steps of the process, takes initiative in suggesting how/when to make improvements to general processes that betters the team.
  • Displays a good level of general skills: writing skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, creativity, adaptability, initiative and problem solving.
  • Knows how to communicate with the design team and across functional teams as well as manage up when a problem arises, is attuned to the office surroundings and knows when to share ideas and information.
  • Requires minimal leadership oversight on how to problem solve and leverage critical thinking skills.
  • Understands how to create timelines that incorporate the work of multiple functional areas then can successfully orchestrate the project through completion.
  • Has the acumen and confidence to work directly with senior leadership; knows how/when to effectively push back and/or keep the process moving smoothly.
  • Understands the differences between marketing channels and the best practices in communication and design for each.
  • Has excellent creativity and design skills for print and digital.
  • Stays up-to-date on current industry trends. Proactively researches industry trends and competitive landscapes to learn new tools, new skills, and new aspects of marketing and design.
  • Be adaptable, competent, motivated, ambitious and creative.
  • Work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Administrative and other tasks as assigned.

Supervisory or Management Responsibilities:
  • Partner with manager to oversee external agencies and vendors.
  • Manage internal client expectations and relationships.
  • Supports manager in facilitating the growth and development of team members.
  • May lead/mentor the work of one or more junior designers, but does not manage staff.


Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
  • 8+ years of agency or in-house design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in n Design, Visual Arts or relevant field.
  • Portfolio of completed design projects for print and digital.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office, motion graphics/video editing a plus.
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts for print and digital.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
