Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking
to hire a part-time Psychologist to join the Nourish for Life (NFL) Outpatient
Program and the Medical Stabilization Program (MSP) for Disordered Eating at
UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. The NFL outpatient program provides collaborative
assessment, support, and treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID,
and other eating/feeding disorders. The MSP inpatient services provides
structured, safe refeeding for patients through age 25 who have malnutrition
secondary to eating disorders or disordered eating. Primary duties include:
  • Provide assessments and interventions
  • Provide direct clinical care
  • Oversee ongoing development of NFL, including procedures and content
  • Supervise and provide feedback to Psychologists personnel and to rotating trainees of varying disciplines
  • Work with Medical Director and clinical team to shape evolution of program
  • Conduct staff training on the management and treatment of eating disorders patients and their families
  • Systemize and optimize the bi-directional referral process between the Resnick NPH Eating Disorders Program and AMS
Qualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or related field
Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California
Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory position
Minimum 5 years of post-doctoral experience working with eating disorder patients
Knowledge and practice of CBT and FBT
Knowledge and practice of DBT (preferred)
