About This Role

At Biogen, the Facilities Engineering team is responsible for the daily operation and upkeep of site utilities, building maintenance, laboratory support, and life cycle management of assets. The Life Cycle Management Representative will provide resource assistance on a variety of facility and laboratory management initiatives, data monitoring, new asset onboarding, and capital project support. Role uses various data bases including maintenance systems and procurement software to bring asset purchases from purchase to installation to support laboratory science initiatives.


This is a full-time position located in Cambridge, MA.

  • Onboarding new equipment, including site preparation and evaluation
  • Managing relationship and scheduling of external vendors
  • Scheduling and monitoring of trade work orders
  • Ability to read and interpret building drawings and floor plans
  • Stakeholder engagement to include written and verbal communication
  • Obtain quoting and appropriate service contract coverage
  • Assess external vendor performance
  • Obtain and interpret laboratory equipment specifications
  • Strong ability to multitask, manage numerous projects at a time
  • Maintain Infor10 data integrity through updates and quality cleanup projects
  • Supply Chain dashboard support

Additional responsibilities will include assistance with continual improvement projects, gathering, and filing process of equipment data, and supporting facility maintenance planning.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience in SharePoint platform
  • Knowledge of regulated environments
  • Technical understanding of equipment and systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Self-starter that is willing to learn new systems and inner working of facility
  • Experience working with CAD
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to work as part of a team
