Senior Analyst

Assumes accountability and leadership role for the complex processes, reporting, and analysis to support the day-to-day operations and accounting functions in the Houston Shared Services Center. Works effectively with functional leaders, process owners, and other cross-functional business resources in a collaborative manner to analyze data and drive improvement and efficiency. The role provides guidance and direction to employees both onshore and offshore particularly in the areas of assigned accounting teams, special projects, system upgrades/migrations, and change management. Supports all BPO initiatives. Analyzes financial information for assigned areas to ensure accordance with company policy, management reporting requirements, and IFRS.  Also responsible to identify compliance gaps or any internal control weaknesses.

  • Provides daily support to the offshore team to ensure all assigned tasks are performed accurately and timely as well as ensuring financial controls are functioning as expected.
  • The control point for financial integrity and accuracy
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for requested client assistance requests, including business process flow, financial process documentation, balance sheet account reconciliations, supplemental financial schedules, and fluctuation analysis for quarterly reviews and year-end audits
  • Fully understand system functionality related to assigned area to allow the ability to identify anomalies or changes that would require accounting or reporting changes
  • Responsible for system support for upgrades, migrations, testing, and daily maintenance of multiple Finance systems and workflow databases.
  • Supports Ricoh Accounting Policy administrator for policy reviews and updates as needed.
  • Monitors and analyzes identified key offshore metrics as required.
  • Works with management and provides recommendations to develop effective root cause analysis associated with key metrics.
  • Safeguards information of a confidential and proprietary nature and deals courteously and effectively with a diverse group of contacts, both inside and outside of the center.
  • Supports testing and/or documentation related to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Leverage process improvement/project management concepts and tools to design, develop, document, and assist in implementing processes including advanced concepts and techniques where appropriate.
  • Provides support to other functional areas during times of high volume or staffing needs.
  • Provides project management support and performs cross-functional project requests from management related to understanding and improving the business and financial performance of the Company as necessary.
