Opportunity:

Walmart is seeking a Senior Director, M&A Integration, reporting directly to the Global Head of Corporate Development, to join and lead its Integration Management Office (IMO) team. The position offers the opportunity to join the corporate development team which addresses key strategic areas of inorganic growth. The team leads program management initiatives for all company acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and investments.

You will partner with deal sponsors and other senior leaders to define the program value drivers, will lead related operational diligence, and will then build and operationalize value delivery plans. You will co-own value delivery plans with the deal sponsor and directly lead the team members who deliver the integration elements of those plans, ensuring favorable returns on the investments we make. You will be a central leader in driving Walmart’s most transformational programs.
The IMO team is a small, core group of professionals who drive the pre-merger integration planning and post-merger integration execution to achieve deal rationale, deal value drivers, and synergies.

In this role you will work with a close knit team and engage with senior leaders across several functions at Walmart.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in early evaluations and due diligence for M&A process to align with the strategic objectives and provide an early voice on integration planning and risks
  • Lead all aspects of the integration efforts - working with a team of functional experts from across the company
  • Develop collaborative relationships across matrixed organization
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan for each deal that includes all workstream and functional team tasks to achieve the target value metrics
  • Develop and develop consensus around the integration budget for each acquisition which aligns to the plan
  • Provide regular progress update to the deal executives and key stakeholders. Be the single point of contact for all stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • Develop M&A best practices for the company


Desired Qualifications And Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in M&A integrations and/or consulting
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence management skills
  • Proven ability to think strategically about acquisition objectives and map the strategy into due diligence evaluations and a detailed project plan for integration execution
  • Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
  • A passion for driving value in acquisitions through integration activities
  • An open, direct, and respectful communication style with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective at leading executives and team members at every level of the organization
  • Apply practical experience with communications, culture, & change management
