Giant Eagle / Wegmans Ice Cream Associate Customer Business Manager (ACBM)

Note: Role location will be remote but must sit in either the Pittsburgh, PA or Rochester, NY market.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Customer Business Manager (ACBM) position is to develop business relationships with our Giant Eagle / Wegmans partners while driving mutual, profitable sales. The CBM is responsible for achieving assigned goals, within budget, while building mutually beneficial joint business plan. It is imperative that the CBM have a working knowledge and experience working across cross-functional areas of the business such as business planning, finance, brand and channel development.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationship with the customer
  • Coordinate Annual Planning efforts with Brand Teams internally that align with customer
  • Drive trade investment effectiveness and efficiency year over year
  • Customize corporate marketing and merchandising programs with customer and cross functional brand teams
  • Develop corporate marketing and merchandising programs
  • Coordinate, and manage, Category Management initiatives including assortment and plan-o-grams
  • Manage volume delivery, by month and annually, while driving proper trade investments for assigned business unit
  • Routinely interface with internal and external departments/personnel across the business
  • Coordinate Joint Business Plans with customer and internal teams
  • Balance individual customer needs, while ensuring total Market integrity
  • The need to drive Strategic Relationships and accelerated growth, while operating within approved Trade Marketing parameters, and driving trade investment effectiveness and efficiency
  • Work effectively as part of a Customer Team, while maintaining a positive connection and relationship with other direct teams
  • Navigate continual complexity
  • Plan volume in business planning tool and deliver monthly forecast
  • Manage financials from contract to deduction


Skills & Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree is required
  • Must be skilled in verbal and written communications
  • Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Proven Business Manager experience with a key customer is a must
  • Trade Marketing and Category Management experience is a plus
  • Must be a strategic thinker that can work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner
  • Must have strong relationship building and management skills
  • Working knowledge of IRI, AMPS, Loyalty Card Data (EYC & Aimia) and Customer POS Data is strongly desired
